在江西萍乡的乡村中，一座座房屋点缀着美丽的山区。其中一些房屋外观都颇为精致，但若走入这些房屋，映入眼帘的是较为简陋的内饰。有些甚至没有粉刷过，只是简单的毛坯房。这样的房子有相当一部分是属于当地一群特殊的群体——尘肺农民。
尘肺病，就是患者由于职业问题在工作环境中长期将大量的粉尘吸入肺部，从而导致肺部纤维化的一种疾病。这种疾病会使患者呼吸困难，并容易引发气胸、肺结核等一系列并发症。
